It is the wish of every brand to remain relevant within the radar of its audience. Creating and selling right experience is not just one-off affair. It is a 24/7 approach. Ensuring that right emotional experience is maintained all round is a good thing for a brand. Every season gives us a new opportunity to create right impression if brand custodians, manager will take a critical look at the opportunities in them.
This weekend is the Christmas and Boxing Day weekend. Whether we are Muslim, Christian or whatever, chances are that brands can take advantage of this season to reach out their audience. First of all, we are aware that the spirit behind the season is giving out of a cheerful heart. Giving should not be mandatory but done out of love. You do not have to give just to be like the Jones. Be sure your brand actions are motivated through love. Even if you do not have enough cash to go round, love will propel you to be creative with your own gift. A gift can be small but when the thoughts behind them are genuine the creativity and thoughtfulness invested in it can last longer than those who give gifts out of strive. So in the absence of lot of money:
Send a customized greeting Card: Opportunities now present themselves with options we can choose from. One, we can design a handmade card and send it with an handwriting notes to those you know have helped in spreading word of mouth about their brand. Not that alone, you might have recognized those who gave your brand a referral, contacts that really exposed, gave your brand a real mileage to larger audience. The contact might not have brought you monetary returns, but please do say thank you. Another way is to go to free online greeting cards that allow you to customize your message. Use this to your brand’s advantage.
Send text messages: text messages are now cheap: You do not have to use your mobile phones. That may be expensive. There are many internet enabled text messages platforms that cost next to nothing. So take a look at that and use them to create right experience.
Visit orphanages, less privileged homes: Every society has its own share of people who are vulnerable in one way or the other. Your brand can use the weekend to give them hope through your association or visit to these homes. Even if you choose to use one hour with the inmates, most of your internal audience will have a change of perspective with regards to how life is lived on the other side of the divide.
Organize small party for some people: it may be a parlour party where you only invite family and friends of key stakeholders or an elaborate one that bring together employees and their families, be sure the party is not organized as usual(out of boredom or a need to do it). No one will kill you if your brand chooses not to conform. If you like, you may consider a cocktail (This reduces the bill). Make the party snappy, fun filled and sell right experience that attendees will never forget in a hurry.
By any means available (which fall within your budget) say thank you and mean it. The reason for the season is to share love and not to incur unnecessary debts that will affect the New Year’s planning.
