Those who refuse to learn will soon be forgotten. The age we live in require possession of updated information at one’s finger tips. Many issues are raising their ugly heads and lots of professionals are becoming helpless just because they cannot catch up with the rate at which news break and how the changes are coming in like a wild rain flood.

I was reading an article online yesterday with the title: ‘Be the only dumb in the room’. After reading through I could not but laugh and learn. As we know, many online ‘surfers’, researchers are suffering from’ Attention deficit Disorder’. Many cannot stay on one platform for long. They keep skipping from one online page to another. If you cannot immediately engage them you are gone. But aside from this, a new digital disease has been identified. It is called ‘Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD)’. This is an advanced stage of ADD mentioned above. Interestingly, online marketers must strive to keep these people in their communities and turn them to advocate.
As if the above is not enough challenge, we now have a disease tagged IDIOTS- Impulsive Digital Isolationist Obsessive Tendencies Syndrome. Big name indeed! The writer of the above article did say: ‘it appears everywhere you go people are consumed with their smart phones and all they have to offer, including texting, talking, gaming, Installing, tweeting, Face booking and more’.
With this, getting the target attention even in a face to face meeting is now an issue. The symptom of these may include: dependency on and compulsive usage of your smart phone. Checking emails on bed, taking phone to bathroom, Texting, tweeting, chatting while driving, impulsive checking of facebook; eating dinner with family with phone or IPad in your hand, posting everything you do, do you go out to eat and take photos of what you are eating?
Now many people can relate with these. It does mean many of your targets have a form of digital disease. In simple language, we are now a society filled with various classes of Idiots. Even in homes, are many married people not living with an idiot? In this case how can you resolve this so they can stay engaged and share your content?
