I am Yinka Olaito. I help individuals, organizations to maximize values in their brands/ideas through adequate positioning of their brands to the target audience that can pay premium. I often function as a brand, social media expert- this skill enables me to give required professional advice as well as developing a functional and verifiable strategy that gives results to both profit and non profit organizations. I also function as a public relations consultant: this is the route that fire- up my passion in branding. My training and most of my professional qualifications stem from this. I have used the skill to promote mutual understanding between individuals/corporate organizations and their target audience. I am an active member of Lagos State chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

 I function as a trainer. I have passion to transfer what I have learnt to senior executives, younger generations or those I think will value the knowledge. This skill has been proven to be working as I get results and commendations from people after applying thoughts shared. I am a member of Nigerian Institute For Training and Development- a member of International Federation of Training and Development organizations (IFTDO). I am currently the special assistant on communications to the National president/Council Chairman of the Institute.

 As a columnist and writer, I have the privilege of maintaining the only and authoritative personal branding column in Nigeria with the widely acclaimed Marketing management magazine in Nigeria (M2). I have also written articles that have been published by a section of the Nigerian dailies and in a couple of recognized online forum. I have also authored just released Personal Branding For First Class Professionals (e-book) and about to be published motivational titled – The Achievers’ Companion. I am a recognized expert author at ezinearticles.com

My role as a Public speaker has also being flourishing: I constantly speak in conferences, campuses and relevant associations that use my skill. And lastly as a social crusader with strong passion for a change, I run a non-governmental organization-Toward excellence International-that reaches schools and campuses with a message of hope as I have been a product Of a mother who stood by me and a highly committed, unrepentant wife who fire up my hope and give encouragement to strive for the best.

 

Presently I work with Michael sage consulting as chief consulting officer (www.michaelsage.org)- a branding and Public relations firm based in Lagos Nigeria.I have the privilege of co-founding the organization. Michael Sage  is a brand that started as  an idea without a penny saved.

I am also the chief strategist/founder, Personal Branding College Lagos, Nigeria- the first in Africa.  A school established to promote strong personal brands in every sphere of life in Africa. The School’s session holds quarterly in Lagos Nigeria. Those who have attended have realized that personal Branding offers competitive advantage for individuals.

 I am a three award winning graduate of Ogun state university, Ago-Iwoye Nigeria, I also led my class at my postgraduate diploma level. I hold two professional diplomas in Public relations, one of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the widely acclaimed Business education examination council. I have undergone a lot of courses/trainings (online and offline) that has enhanced my skills. I am a regular guest consultant on Times cable Television’s ’Brands and Product expo’ programme.

 I have been privileged to use these tested skills in various organizations and frontline   brands. I have had my own share of the divides of life. My humble background provokes a passion to communicate what I have learnt in life to spur someone else to life.

 There are three things on my mind, which I aspire to do soon:

 1. To start a ten minute Radio programme that focuses on brand (This is open to sponsorship)

 2.To start a twenty minute Television programme that is focused on brand development(This is open to sponsorship)

 3. To establish a foundation that pays school fees of poor students,funds schools and hospitals in Nigeria.

 There are two life’s opportunities I do not want to miss:

 1. I want to die empty-having maximized my potentials   2. Whether it is real or not, I do not want to miss the fun of making it to heaven.
