A popular gospel artiste in Nigeria, Tope Alabi, ‘has being enjoying bad publicity’ since yesterday when a video? attributed to her surfaced online.
In the video? Tope Alabi was? criticising a song titled ‘Oniduromi mi’ by another gospel artiste, Yinka Alaseyori.
From popular opinion, Tope Alabi misinterpreted the true meaning of the title? and spoke inadvisedly against Yinka Alaseyori.
Since Nigeria online space had descended on Tope Alabi and by virtue of luck? elevated and given good publicity to the upcoming Yinka Alaseyori.
News had it that Yinka Alaseyori’s IG’ followers had risen from over 121,000 to over 214,000 in the past 24 hours.
On the other hand Tope Alabi had been castigated with lots of bad publicity.
This platform will not be used to promote some of the unprintable words used to describe Tope Alabi in the past 24 hours.
Our concern here is what should Tope Alabi do immediately? to salvage her image?
-Send out an apology video to her fans and the public.? The possibility of been misquoted out of context is often there. Supposed this is not even so, saying sorry? will not hurt.
-Look out for Yinka? Alaseyori, if it possible, or place a phone, video call to her to clear the issue.
-Be tactical and diplomatic or go for strategic public speaking session to guide against future occurrence.? We have noticed? when in stage she sometimes get carried away
